FAQs

How much space is required for the bell tent?

A minimum of 7m x 7m flat grassed area (unable to pitch on artificial grass), free from overhanging trees, pathways, garden furniture and play equipment.

How long does setup take?

Setup duration varies depending on the service you require. When booking a bell tent with picnic it is advisable to allow up to 2hrs for set up. Picnics without a bell tent will usually take no more than 1hr to set up.

How long is the hire period?

Standard day hire is 6hrs following the completion of setup. We will arrive no later than 7pm for pack down. If you wish to enjoy the party later into the evening we offer an overnight upgrade for £50 and we will return the following day to pack down. Please note that no equipment can be left outdoors overnight therefore we kindly request that you bring picnic tables and all of the associated styling pieces into your home or placed inside the bell tent (zipped up) for the night. Cinema equipment will be collected no later than 10:30pm.

What if it rains on the day?

We weather watch 7 days before your expected party date and if rain is forecast, we can then begin the process of working with you to postpone and reschedule your event to another day, subject to availability. If you have booked a party with a Bell tent you will still be able to enjoy your party as the bell tent is fully waterproof. It may just mean that amendments will be made to the design and layout of the party space as we will be required to style the picnic tables inside of the bell tent which may have previously been planned for outdoors.

Do I need to pay a booking deposit?

Yes please. We kindly request a non-refundable deposit of £75 at the time of booking to secure your date. We also request a refundable damages deposit (£250 for the bell tent or £150 for picnic parties) which will be collected with the final balance payment, due 7 days before the event.

When will I receive my damages deposit back?

Providing no damage to the hire equipment is identified during our post party checks you will receive the full deposit back via bank transfer within 48hrs following the party. If in the unlikely event that damage occurs we will deduct the necessary replacement costs from the damages deposit and refund the remaining balance.

Can we eat in the bell tent?

Eating is permitted in the bell tent however we ask that care be taken not to allow any food or liquid to make contact with the canvas walls as we are unable to remove stains/marks from the tent with anything other than water. Even a mild soap will strip the tent of it's water repellent coating and we will unfortunately then have to deduct the cost of professional cleaning from your damages deposit. The same rule applies to the use of bubbles. We kindly ask that no bubbles are to be played with (inside or outside of the bell tent) during the hire period due to risk of the bubbles making contact with the canvas.

Can I amend my booking once I have paid the booking deposit?

Absolutely! You can remove or add extras to your booking no less than 2 weeks before the event. Should you wish to cancel your booking please do let me know as soon as possible. The cancellation policy can be found in the terms and conditions (attached to the booking enquiry form).
